Assessment Centres

Many traditional assessment centres are run with individual exercises such as "in-trays", case studies and psychometrics. The problem with this approach is that it doesn't give you the ability to really test someone's behaviour as it is entirely staged.

Whilst still useful, we believe this traditional approach needs to go a step further. That is why we blend the traditional tools with team-based experiential challenges. Within a short time frame, individuals will often revert to their natural type. This allows you to see the way they behave when having to deal with other people in everyday work situations. You can see how they work to motivate others, handle problems that hinder their achievement, create plans that are smart and effective... or not. When this approach is used in conjunction with some of the traditional tools you get a much more rounded assessment of each candidate.

Development Centres

All of our development centres are designed specifically for the situation at the time. We do not apply a one size fits all mentality. Your organisation's idea of what talent looks like will be different to another's based on your culture, industry dynamics and even location. We therefore want to ensure that we don't cloud our thinking by assuming what worked for someone else will work for you.

As with our assessment centres, we can use all of the traditional tools from psychometrics to case studies and presentations. We encourage clients to strongly consider using the experiential learning activities for development centres. These activities are all about learning and applying the learning and therefore lend themselves really well to assessing development needs.

We can also help you to develop the process you will use once individuals are through the development centre process. Again this will offer a range of solutions that are tailored according to the relevance and needs of the individual.
